The Island of La Gomera offers a wide range of possibility to enjoy a few days of relax in the peaceful atmosphere of its nature and people. Here the alternative tourism is probably the most important offer of the Canary Islands, where you can go trekking, walks through canyons from one side to other of the Island. Some of these paths are crossing nearby Residencial El Llano, joining them walking or mountain biking.
Valle Gran Rey is truly the ideal place for water activities such as fishing, or visiting the dauphin’s colony living off its coasts or enjoying some maritime excursions designed to explore the coasts and cliffs of Los Organos. We recommend whale watching as another 'can't miss' activity, because of the large and varied colonies of these cetaceans in this area. You can book this activity in any of the many diving centres of the area.
The village offers typical restaurants of local gastronomy, many grocery shops, local art crafts shops, sports equipments, tourist office, good beaches and probably the most beautiful sunsets
In the interior of the region we can discover small villages and very beautiful hamlets such as Arure, Taguluche and Las Hayas, at a short distance from the Garajonay National Park.
Valle Gran Rey is one of the few villages on the coast with a regular maritime liner daily connecting the port of Vueltas in Valle Gran Rey to Playa Santiago, San Sebastián and Los Cristianos, in South Tenerife.
